Emily Johnson is a Barkindji, Latjilatji, Waka Waka, Birri Gubba woman and First Nations Creative Producer in the Experience & Engagement branch of the Australian Museum.
Academic and professional qualifications include completing a Bachelor of Arts in 2015, and Honours in 2016 at the University of Sydney. Her honours body of work and research paper received First Class honours which led to being selected as a Charles Perkins MO Award recipient in 2017. Emily has previously worked as an events producer and program coordinator within the arts, education, and community sectors.
Emily continues her own visual arts practice and digital content production in her spare time, with a passion for equal representation and agency for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, intersectional feminism, and body positivity.
