Australian dinosaurs colouring activity
On this page...
What did dinosaurs look like? To reconstruct ancient creatures, Palaeo-artists fill in knowledge gaps by studying living animals, particularly reptiles and birds (which are actually feathered dinosaurs).
Download and colour the Cretaceous dinosaurs from Australia. Could your creature have had stripes like a tiger? Bright colours and feathers like a parrot? Or be camouflaged like a chameleon?
Next time you visit the Australian Museum (AM), bring your designs with you to scan and see your dinosaur come to life on a giant wall projection in Prehistoric Playground.
*The AM is temporarily closed to the public to protect the health of visitors and staff and minimise the spread of COVID-19. We will plan to reopen on Saturday 10 July (subject to health advice).
