Etymology
Paradigalla (combination of Paradisaea + Gallus (Latin, jungle fowl); carunculata (Latin, small piece of flesh = facial wattle).
Description
Sexually monomorphic. Adult males, 37; females, 35 cm. Both sexes black with bright yellow to greenish yellow wattle on face above bill and sky blue and red wattle on base of lower bill. Tail longer than in Short-tailed Paradigalla.

Mid montane forests; 1400-2100 m.
Courtship
Unknown, but presumably polygynous like Short-tailed Paradigalla. Males solitary.
Breeding
Display and breeding seasons unknown. Females thought to build and attend nests alone. Known to hybridise with Western Parotia, Superb Bird of Paradise and Black Sicklebill.
Status and conservation
Near-threatened; restricted range and poorly known.
Distribution
Indonesia: West Papua: Arfak Mountains, possibly Fakfak Mountains and Onin Peninsula.
