Introduction

This attractive purple and gold species comes in two forms.

Identification

This distinctive species with rounded golden yellow forewings with metallic purple markings comes in two forms. One form has the outline of the purple marking only, and the other has the purple marking filled with grey-purple.

Distribution

In Australia this species has been collected from sites around Claudie River in northern QLD.
