About the program
Are your students learning about the strength and resilience of First Nations peoples?

Do you want to help them build the language to understand the fight for self-determination and autonomy?

In this First Nations led program, students will explore the Unfinished Business exhibition, which shares the voices of 30 First Nations people living with disability. Through exhibition engagement, hands-on activities, and collaborative learning, students will critically reflect on the lived experiences of First Nations peoples while unpacking key concepts such as sovereignty, self-determination, autonomy, human rights, and social justice and equity.

The program connects students with First Nations peoples, histories and cultures and is designed to benefit Stage 5 & 6 students studying Aboriginal Studies, Society & Culture, or History at any stage of the curriculum.

Students will get the opportunity to connect with Elder Uncle John Baxter during the opening week (3-7 November). The program will be offered free of charge during this week.
