About the program
In this museum educator-led program, students will explore the navigational techniques and skills of Pasifika peoples through an engaging, gamified experience. They will also gain insights into the diverse ways of life of various Pasifika cultures. This curriculum-linked program will examine the traditions and customs that shape societies across the Pacific.
This lesson will be utilising the Patricia McDonald Education Rooms and Wansolmoana, the Museum's Pasifika gallery. The program and resources have been specially designed to enable group work, hands-on experience, exploration and open-ended questioning, which foster empathetic understanding and critical thinking.
