3D Model of Chinese Statue

Little is known about this wooden statue in the World Cultures collection. It was acquired by the museum in 1914 and is from Beijing. It is assumed to be of a Buddhist Monk rather than the Buddha. It is made of wood and gilded with gold leaf.

This 3D model of the sculpture was captured using a technique called Photogrammetry which involves taking many photographs of an object from different angles and 'stitching' them together to make a 3D model.
