Introduction

The Bridled Triggerfish is found mainly in tropical marine waters, and can be identified by the yellow bar on the lower lip.

Identification

The Bridled Triggerfish is brown with a yellow bar on the lower lip. Males have a yellow diagonal stripe from the mouth to the pectoral fin base.

Habitat

It occurs in tropical marine (and some temperate) waters of the Indo-Pacific.

Distribution

In Australia it is found from central to north-western Western Australia and from the northern Great Barrier Reef to the central coast of New South Wales.
