Mick is a Bundjalung man from Baryulgil, NSW. He has lived and worked in the Redfern community for decades where he has established programs to help the local community and drive self-determination and Aboriginal social justice.
Mick has been the CEO of Aboriginal Housing Company in Redfern for 45 of its 47 years, was a Director on the board of the Aboriginal Medical Service in the 1980s, an ex-Chairperson and Director for the Aboriginal Legal Service, a board member on the Redfern Aboriginal Cooperation and was responsible for setting up the ‘Elouera’ Tony Mundine gym in Eveleigh St, Redfern, in 1983.
