Although a small bat, The Eastern Forest Bat prefers hollows in the largest old trees for nursery colonies. Not much is known about this bat.
Habitat
Eastern Forest Bats roost in hollows of old eucalypts; some individuals roost under loose bark.

Economic impacts
Eastern Forest Bats are vulnerable to loss of roost sites in tree hollows and loss of feeding grounds by forestry activities, clearing for agriculture and housing.
