Provide your students with an opportunity to explore the complex aspects of this topic with NSW's top scientific institutions. Students will examine fossils, live animals and plants to understand biological diversity and explain the relationships between a range of organisms in terms of specialisation and evolution of species.

This study day has been developed by the Botanic Gardens of Sydney, the North Coast Regional Botanic Garden, the Australian Museum and Taronga Zoo to meet aspects of the NSW Stage 6 Biology Syllabus for Module 3: Biological Diversity.

The 2025 program will take place in five locations around NSW. Read more about each location, find a date and book your session below.

This education program is an incredibly valuable learning experience as it perfectly aligns with what students are learning about in a hands-on way. The lesson had all the students engaged and the participation levels were high. Educators were fantastic! Stage 6 Biology teacher, 2024, Mount Annan
