Biodiversity is a crucial factor in the environmental, social and cultural health of a city. Biodiversity in the City of Sydney's area has declined because of urban development; buildings and roads have taken away some of the habitat that used to provide a home for plants and animals

This plan will assess the current state of biodiversity in the local government area. It will then identify and prioritise actions that can be taken to conserve locally indigenous plant and animal species and improve their habitats.

I am working on the community consultations including an online survey. Feel free to add your feedback by following the the link here. Our ecologists are busy working to identify all the native animals and plants living in the inner city.
