Bark stingray toys

They were collected from Umba Kumba, Groote Eylandt, in the Northern Territory during the American-Australian Scientific Expedition to Arnhem Land in 1948, and acquired by the museum in 1949. They are made from a piece of bark, which has been cut into the shape of a stingray, and painted with pigment.
