Notes

The Red Cod and Bastard Red Cod, Pseudophycis breviuscula, are similar-looking species.  The Red Cod is usually greyish above and pink below.  The Bastard Red Cod, however, is reddish brown above and whitish below.  They can also be separated by differences in scale counts.
