
Ricky-Lee Erickson
Ricky-Lee Erickson is the Ornithology Collection Manager at the Australian Museum. She is responsible for developing and maintaining the museum’s ornithology collection, facilitating access to the collection for visiting researchers and through loans as well as providing ornithology expertise to the museum’s public programs, and answering public and scientific enquiries.
Ricky-Lee was formerly the Collection Manager of Land Vertebrates at Auckland Museum, where she assisted with seabird and forest bird surveys across the North Island, including Auckland’s offshore islands. Her work has taken her from the Little Desert in Victoria, to sea voyages to the Tasmanian Seamounts and Rangitāhua (Kermadec Islands).
Ricky-Lee has a breadth of collection management experience, gained from her time working at Melbourne Museum, Auckland Museum and now the Australian Museum. Ricky-Lee is passionate about Natural History Collections and the wealth of research they enable.
