Kerry Etherington
Kerry Etherington is a Project Conservator, working as part of the Collections Care and Conservation team. She has a Bachelor of Art majoring in Art History and Theory and a Masters in Cultural Materials Conservation, specialising in the conservation of objects.
Kerry’s work is focused on Natural Science collections, and she has experience in a wide range of materials, including taxidermied specimens, skeletal remains, skins and wet specimens. She has experience working with First Nations and Pasifika Cultural Collections, and has been tasked with various projects, ranging from intricate treatments to large scale collection moves.
Kerry is currently leading a rehousing project, caring primarily for the Natural Science collections of birds, mammals and fish located in the museum’s off-site storage facilities.
