This information is provided as a service to Lizard Island Research Station visitors. It is the Station's interpretation of permitting requirements as they apply to work at Lizard Island.

Any collecting or manipulative activities on land at Lizard Island and most neighbouring islands requires a permit from the Queensland Parks & Wildlife Service (QPWS). Application must be made on a form, available at the Research Station or from QPWS. Allow at least three months for processing. Please send a copy of your application to the Research Station.
