13 August | How to Talk Climate | Climate change is the biggest challenge facing our world today, but it can often be difficult to communicate the facts. Learn how to listen and respond well, and to use nature and innovations as tool to communicate about climate impacts and solutions. |
17 September | The Power of Pollinators | We all know about bees, those miniature powerhouses of pollination, but did you know that Australia’s forests and food systems also rely on bats and birds? Come and talk about pollinators as engines of our carbon and climate systems and how we can support them in our local environments. |
Australian science is leading the world in climate solutions, from researching seaweed for reducing the methane cows produce to rapidly increasing the efficiency of solar panels.

Jenny Newell (Curator, Climate Change Projects at the Australian Museum) works on the cultural dimensions of climate change, focusing on communities in Australia and the Pacific. She aims to increase engagement in environmental stewardship through the medium of museums.
With a background in environmental history, Jenny has worked with Pacific communities and collections at the British Museum, National Museum of Australia, the American Museum of Natural History (New York) and the Australian Museum to amplify voices on climate change for broad audiences.
