Gain confidence in embedding authentic First Nations voices and perspectives in the Stage 6 History classroom in this free NSW Education Standard Authority (NESA) accredited teacher professional development program at the Australian Museum.

Effectively integrating First Nations voices into your teaching practices can be a daunting task, especially in senior History education. This teacher professional development workshop has been designed in consultation with the Australian Museum First Nations Division and Education team to help teachers utilise authentic First Nations resources and embed First Nations perspectives in the classroom.

Completing Embedding First Nations Perspectives in the Stage 6 History Classroom will contribute 5 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Accredited PD in the priority area of Aboriginal education and supporting Aboriginal students/children addressing Standard Descriptors 1.4.2 & 2.4.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher in NSW.
