Hintze Hall

Hintze Hall is the Museum’s grand central hall, combining sandstone heritage architecture with contemporary elegance. Perfect for large wedding receptions and formal celebrations in an iconic and unforgettable setting.

Wild Planet

Wild Planet is a light-filled gallery, featuring over 400 animals displayed in elegant glass cases. A truly unique setting for cocktail-style wedding celebrations and evening receptions.

Westpac Long Gallery

As Australia’s first museum gallery, the Westpac Long Gallery features heritage architecture, vaulted ceilings and rare collection treasures.

It's an elegant heritage venue suited to intimate wedding receptions and long-table celebrations.

Due to the sensitive collections housed in the Westpac Long Gallery, amplified music, dancing and flash photography are not permitted. Acoustic and background music is permitted.

Capacity:

  • Cocktail: 150 guests
  • Sit down reception: 80 guests
  • Long Table: 70 guests

Harbour View Rooms

With floor-to-ceiling windows, balcony access and spectacular Sydney Harbour views, the Harbour View Rooms are a premium rooftop venue ideal for wedding receptions, ceremonies and private celebrations overlooking the city skyline.

Harbour View Room 1 capacity:

  • Drinks reception: 200 guests
  • Sit down reception: 120 guests

Harbour View Room 2 capacity:

  • Drinks reception: 100 guests
  • Sit down reception: 50 guests
