In this unit, students will explore the intersection of science, history and literature in the new Australian Museum exhibition Bloodsuckers: Nature's Vampires. You will find activities to build prior knowledge of gothic literature, genre conventions, myths and legends, suggestions on how to approach the exhibition, and summative tasks to complete in the classroom.

Success Criteria
- I can recognise genre conventions in gothic literature texts and the relevant curatorial decisions in Bloodsuckers: Nature's Vampires
- I can assess the origins and continuity of vampire historiography
- I can write an object story that addresses vampire historiography with gothic genre conventions
