My love of the natural world, and my drive to learn more about it, has been growing exponentially since childhood. After completing my Bachelor of Advanced Science degree, majoring in Biology and minoring in Marine Science, I have now progressed to an Honours year. I've been privileged enough to work with Jodi Rowley and the Australian Museum Herpetology team to investigate the use of eDNA  in its relatively early stages of understanding as it relates to conservation. I hope to make a tangible difference to the methods employed by conservation biologists and other scientists through the completion of my project, studying the plausibility of detecting frogs during non-calling seasons with eDNA. I look forward to using lab skills and scientific knowledge to begin making a pragmatic difference in the world, whether eDNA is promising or not.

Outside of study, I enjoy finding interesting places, spending time in nature, and I've recently picked up gardening.
