Notes

The species occurs on the Northwest Shelf, Western Australia, and from southern Queensland to southern New South Wales. It has a single gill raker in the angle between the upper and lower limbs of the outer gill arch.

The fish is now registered in the Australian Museum Ichthyology Collection (AMS I.27196-002).
