Thursday 10 March 2022, Sydney: The Australian Museum (AM) is creating more hands-on fun for LEGO® fans of all ages with a series of workshops and events to accompany the immersive exhibition Kmart presents Jurassic World by Brickman®.

Running from Thursday 17 March to Friday 27 May 2022, this series features masterclasses and intimate meet-and-greets with the master himself, Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught, as well as after-hours brick-building events designed to challenge creative skills and teach new techniques for building with LEGO® bricks. The series includes:

Late Night with the Brickman - An exclusive after-hours Masterclass for grownups with Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught. In this intimate masterclass, the only LEGO® Certified Professional in the Southern Hemisphere will guide you through a series of LEGO® brick challenges as well as a tour of the exhibition, revealing behind-the-scenes stories of the making of Jurassic World by Brickman® and teaching techniques used by the Brickman team. 8.30pm – 10pm | Thursdays: 17 March, 28 April and 26 May | Tickets: $185 | Ages 18+

Brekkie with the Brickman - Enjoy a light breakfast in the stunning Hintze Hall before gaining insight and tips in the masterclass, as Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught answers some of your burning questions and takes you through a range of fun activities. Explore Jurassic World by Brickman® and snap a selfie with the Brickman himself during the guided tour of the exhibition. 7.30am – 9:30am | Fridays: 18 March, 29 April and 27 May | Tickets: $235 | Ages 8+

Brickman Up Late - Bricks with a Boffin + LEGO® Minifigure Swap - Part of the Brickman Up Late series, this special Nights at the Museum event celebrates science, sustainability and creativity. The evening is focused on waste reduction with the opportunity to refresh your brick collection at the LEGO® Minifigure Swap, hear fascinating conservation conversations with NSW Australian of the Year/recycling visionary Professor Veena Sahajwalla and the Australian Museum Research Institute’s own Chief Scientist Professor Kris Helgen, hosted by Dr Ann Jones (Catalyst/ What the Duck?). With DJ DIOLA spinning the decks, a spectacular fan-built LEGO® My Own Creation (MOC) on display, and a funky pop-up bar, it’s the perfect chance to browse the AM’s collections or book in to catch the Jurassic World by Brickman® exhibition. 5pm – 9pm | Thursday 17 March | Free (additional charge for exhibition entry applies.)
