Join local Sydney environmental educator and comic artist Eav Brennan to learn the basics of zine-making and create your own publication about a topic, issue or story that matters to you.
Zines are a way of fostering community among their creators and readers and are often a unique and personal way to share knowledge or experiences.
For inspiration, the program starts with a 30-minute Surviving Australia gallery tour exploring the diversity of Australian flora and fauna and ways we can take action to help protect and preserve them.
All materials are provided, including lead pencils, watercolour pencils and collaging supplies. Feel free to bring your own materials too.

In 2024 she published her first book Graphic Ecology with Dr Caitlyn Forster. When she’s not writing her next creative nature comic, she’s probably tending to her community garden, mending her friends’ clothes or getting up to some mischief.
