Held once a term, Australian Museum teachers' nights are an opportunity for teachers to meet with our Education team, become familiar with our facilities and exhibitions, and ask questions about planning an excursion or Museum learning experience.

To thank you for your ongoing support of the AM during 2025, for our Term 4 Teachers' Night on Monday 3 November we would like to invite you to bring your family along to this special Teachers' Night for a viewing of our latest exhibitions RELICS, Australian Geographic Nature Photographer of the Year 2025 and Unfinished Business.

School bookings are now open for RELICS, with a student price of $13 per student.

Important information:

  • Each educator may book up to 4 FREE tickets to Relics for their family or friends, additional tickets will be charged at full price.
  • Eligible educators must currently be employed in a school setting or other education facility, be a pre-service teacher or be in a capacity to influence excursion or learning resource choices.
  • Tickets must be booked by each individual teacher and proof of employment or student status may be requested. The Australian Museum reserves the right to cancel tickets if not booked by an eligible educator.
  • Bookings are required. Upon arrival, please check in with the Education team and have your ticket ready for scanning.
  • You are welcome to join us from any time after 4:30pm to look at our other exhibitions, however we do ask that you be ready to enter RELICS at the time you select below.

Teachers' nights are completely free for eligible educators!

Eligible educators must currently be employed in a school setting or other education facility, be a pre-service teacher or be in a capacity to influence excursion or learning resource choices.

Confirm your registration with the education team on arrival.


Can homeschooling parents attend? Yes, we welcome parents and teachers who are homeschooling students. Eligible educators must be in a capacity to influence excursion or learning resource choices.

Can student teachers attend? Yes, we love to support future teachers and educators and would be happy to welcome Teaching and Education tertiary students.

Is this open for Teachers from Community language schools? Yes, we welcome teachers from Community language schools. Eligible educators must be in a capacity to influence excursion or learning resource choices.

Is this open for SLSOs (School Learning Support Officers)? Yes, we welcome SLSOs and ASLOs. Eligible educators must be in a capacity to influence excursion or learning resource choices.

If I am not local, what are my options to attend? Outside of our Teachers' Nights, we are always more than happy to speak directly or meet with teachers about our programs, exhibitions and excursions.
