Identify a fish to family using the fish key
The key contains line drawings and simple choices to help you identify an Australian fish to family.
At the end of each path through the key, there is a table containing line drawings of fishes. Choose the drawing that most closely resembles the fish you are trying to identify.
The 'fact sheets for this family' link used to point to the relevant fact sheet on the Australian Museum site, but the links are out of date. You will be directed to the Australian Museum homepage, from which you can use the search box to locate assets for fishes in the family you have chosen.
