Ben Parkin
I’m an undergraduate student studying Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Sydney. A bit of a late-arrival to the world of conservation, I originally studied International Studies before working for a time as a youth worker.
Seeking a change from youth work, and having always enjoyed exploring the bush for animals with my brother, I decided to enrol in a degree in Ecology back in 2018. Since then, my interest has steadily grown into a love for science and conservation.
Joining the herpetology department in 2020, I will be assisting in the identification of frog calls submitted to the frogID app. I will also be providing fieldwork support into research looking at the impact of the recent fires on threatened frog species.
