Jessica is a Collection Enhancement Conservator at the Australian Museum. She is currently working on the Collection Enhancement project, undertaking assessments for the needs of 12 different collections, with a focus on storage conditions and requirements for digitisation. Jessica’s role includes collection surveys, material testing and analysis, conservation risk assessment, and data analysis to implement improvement of collection storage systems and ensure optimal long-term preservation of the Australian Museum collections.

Jessica has specialised in preventive conservation with several years’ experience in coordinating programs for integrated pest management, environmental monitoring, disaster preparedness and response, and hazardous materials. She is interested in data analytics and sustainability in the museum sector, as well as the conservation application of new technologies such as laser scanning and 3D printing.

Before working at the Australian Museum, Jessica managed the preventive conservation programs at the Powerhouse Museum and The Art Gallery of NSW, as well as working on exhibitions in a variety of roles including as Lead Conservator. She has presented papers internationally and at national and local conferences. Jessica is an active member of AICCM, having previously served as the AICCM NSW Division President, and currently serving as the Preventive Special Interest Group Co-Coordinator, and as an ordinary committee member for the AICCM NSW Division.
