The University of Technology Sydney Eureka Prize for Outstanding Mentor of Young Researchers is awarded to an individual scientist who has helped develop the next generation of Australia's scientific researchers.

Assessment criteria
Entries must specifically address how the work entered meets the following assessment criteria.
Programs and policies (25%)
Identify the programs and policies implemented and supported by the entrant and describe how they have led to the broader development of researchers across their organisation and/or discipline.
Integration (25%)
Identify and provide evidence of the extent to which the entrant has integrated their students/mentees into the wider research community, outside their own organisation.
Sustained results (25%)
Identify and provide evidence of the extent to which the entrant has achieved sustained results in mentoring, developing the careers of researchers and helping mentees achieve their career goals.
Energy, passion and commitment (25%)
Describe and provide evidence of the entrant’s energy, passion and commitment to mentoring over time.
Category specific conditions of entry – all Leadership Eureka Prizes
This prize is open only to individuals. Entries consisting of more than one individual are ineligible.
Entrants can either enter themselves or be nominated by others. If an entrant is nominated it is important that they provide input to the documentation in support of their nomination.
Entrants must be a) an Australian citizen, b) an Australian permanent resident or c) a New Zealand citizen residing in Australia or its territories, at the time the activity entered was undertaken.
Activity entered for a Eureka Prize must have been undertaken in Australia or its territories, as defined by the Australian Museum Eureka Prizes Terms and Conditions.
The activity entered or nominated for this prize may not be entered or nominated for another Australian Museum Eureka Prize in the same year.
A project or activity that has been awarded an Australian Museum Eureka Prize in the past cannot be entered again. Non-winning finalist activity is eligible for re-entry, so long as it meets all other conditions of entry.
In addition to the category specific conditions of entry all entrants need to comply with the General Terms and Conditions of Entry.

Each entry must include the following information. All information provided will be used by the judging panel to assess the activity against the assessment criteria.
Activity summary

A statement from the nominator or entrant that provides an overview of the leadership activities, including objectives and results to date. Where applicable, please include key dates (month and year).
Response to assessment criteria

A statement by the nominator or entrant on how the activity addresses each of the assessment criterion. Where applicable, please include key dates (month and year).
Assessor reports
[Reports must be prepared using the template provided]
Three (3) reports from assessors on how the activity addresses each of the assessment criterion. Judges rely on assessor reports to provide an additional perspective and informed opinion on the activity entered, therefore assessors should not be personally or directly involved in it. Assessors should be selected from a variety of different organisations. One (1) of the reports must be from an individual who has been mentored by the entrant.Curriculum vitae (CV)
