Museum Minis
Kids can discover more at the Museum through these interactive playgroups for 3-5-year-olds. Get up close to objects and specimens and share stories and songs with Museum educators.

Please note: Children must be supervised by their parent/carer at all times.
Join the fun in our pop-up playgroup, Museum Minis, for kids aged 3-5 and their parents or caregivers.
Add to your Museum visit by engaging with an early years Museum educator who will introduce new exhibitions and topics to your child. Meet an emu in Surviving Australia, get up close to penguins in Wild Planet, encounter an enormous sauropod in Dinosaurs, and much more!
Your little ones will explore Museum objects and experience their learning in small groups through singing, craft, stories and play.
Term 3 topics:
- Dingoes (18 July - 3 August)
- Reptiles: tongues, tails and scales (8 - 10 August, 22 - 31 August)
- In your garden: minibeasts (5 - 21 September)
Term 4 topics:
- First Nations minis (10 October - 26 October)
- Penguins: Flightless friends (31 October - 16 November)
- Minerals: colours, shapes and space (21 November - 7 December)
Please arrive to your session 10 minutes early and meet your program leader in the Crystal Hall.
