...and walk out smiling! Our Museum won in one category and was Highly Commended in three others at the Museums Australia conference.

Our Tyrannosaurs - meet the family exhibition won the best temporary/travelling exhibition category of the Museums and Galleries National Awards (MAGNA), from 15 entrants.

"There are many people and external companies who deserve recognition for their input into the exhibition, but on this occasion congratulations go to our project team led by Exhibition Project Coordinator Bliss Jensen. Special acknowledgement needs to also go to Research Associate Dr Anne Musser, who developed the exhibition’s scientific theme and incorporated into the exhibition current scientific research from the UK, China, North America and elsewhere."
- Glenn Ferguson, Head, Program Delivery, Production and Design

Our Feathers of the Gods book was Highly Commended in the 'Publication Design Category – Book level B' of the Museums Australia Multimedia and Publication Design Awards (MAPDA).

"The idea was to capture some of the many Museum stories in an inviting, personable and unexpected way. The photography featured inside the book works alongside wonderful stories that a variety of writers have crafted, taking the reader behind the scenes, showcasing our people, place and amazing collections. Locally printed and produced on a tactile Australian-made stock, it feels good to hold and read. Congratulations also to photographer Stuart Humphreys and all contributors."
- Amanda Lo Teer, Designer

"Very contemporary with interesting combination of stocks and foiling. Nice details on trench fold. Beautiful colour palette reflective of content."

Our The Art of Science app was Highly Commended in two categories: 'Audience engagement, interpretation and learning' and 'Multimedia design'.

"Thanks to my team in the Archives especially Anna Namuren, Jen Cork from the Online team and the talented developers from Beaconmaker in particular designer Peter Chen. The app was funded by the Department of Finance & Services through the apps4nsw competition – delivered in only 12 weeks and featuring our beautiful Scott sisters collection."
- Vanessa Finney, Manager, Archives and Records
