Scientia Professor Matthew England

Matthew England is Scientia Professor of Ocean & Climate Dynamics at the University of New South Wales (Centre for Marine Science and Innovation), Deputy Director of the Australian Centre for Excellence in Antarctic Science, and the global Academic Lead of the International Universities Climate Alliance (IUCA).
His research focuses on large-scale ocean circulation and the influence of the oceans on regional and global climate, from the tropics to Antarctica, spanning time-scales of seasons to millennia. Matthew is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Science and a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union.

Michael Molitor is an Adjunct Professor at the University of New South Wales (Climate Change Research Centre), Senior Advisor for decarbonisation platform, Avarni, and External Advisor for global consultancy firm Bain & Company.
With over 30 years' experience in climate advocacy, Michael focuses on researching and communicating the environmental, societal and economic impacts of climate change and working with large scale companies to reduce their carbon emissions footprints. Michael was a Scientific Advisor on the 2004 film The Day After Tomorrow.
