Unearth the unique and mysterious societies of pre-Hispanic Peru in this Members-exclusive talk with ancient religion expert, Dr Julian Droogan.
Peru has been home to many complex societies throughout history, each with their own unique mythological and artistic worlds. For thousands of years, and largely isolated from the wider world, a succession of cultures grew and fell throughout the Peruvian Andes, leaving mysterious legacies for researchers to decode. Explore two of the most fascinating cultures in the world, as Dr Droogan surveys the archaeology and art of Pre-Hispanic Peru, focusing in on the Moche and Inca peoples.
Enjoy refreshments in the Members Lounge at 6pm, before heading upstairs to the Theatre at 6.30pm for this enlightening discussion.
