Paddington’s Peruvian Trail Competition Terms and Conditions
1) Entry Period
The trade promotion commences at 12pm on 2 December and closes at 5pm on 2 February ("Entry Period"). No entries will be accepted after this time.
2) Prizes and Prize Values
The prizes to be awarded are as follow:
- Twenty-four (24) Family Tickets to see Paddington in Peru valued at AUD $108.
Six winners will be randomly drawn each Tuesday from correct submissions of the previous week’s entries. Family Tickets will be offered as prizes from 2 to 30 December 2024. Family Tickets include four (4) tickets. - Ten (10) merchandise prize packages including: Paddington in Peru plush toy, activity book and drink bottle, and two adult tickets for Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru exhibition, valued at AUD $151.85.
Ten winners will be randomly drawn from all correct submissions on 4 February 2025. The prize packages will be offered as prizes from 31 December 2024 to 2 February 2025.
The total prize pool is valued at AUD $4,110.50.
3) Promoter
The promotion is conducted by the Australian Museum Trust with its principal place of business at 1 William Street, Sydney NSW 2010.
4) Eligible Participants
To enter, you must be an Australian citizen or resident over the age of 18 years. Directors, employees and contractors of the Australian Museum and StudioCanal may not enter. Participants are not permitted to enter more than once. An adult can enter on behalf of a child using their contact details and listing the child’s first name on the entry form.
5) Prize Winner Determination and Notification
Prize winners will be determined throughout the promotional periods.
- Period 1: 2 – 29 December 2024
Six winners will be randomly drawn each Tuesday at the Promoters offices from entries with the correct answer. Winners are drawn from entries submitted the previous week. Entries do not carry forward. Period 1 promotional weeks are: Monday 2 – Sunday 8 December, Monday 9 – Sunday 15 December, Monday 16 – Sunday 22 December, Monday 23 – Sunday 29 December. - Period 2: 30 December 2024 – 2 February 2025
Ten winners will be randomly drawn from all correct submissions between the period of Monday 30 December and Sunday 2 February 2025. Winners will be randomly drawn on Tuesday 4 February.
Winners will be notified via phone and email within 2 days of the draw. The names of the winners will be published on australian.museum/paddingtontrail once winners are notified.
6) Prize Limits
Participants may win only one prize and will only be entered into one draw. Once a participant has won a prize, they are no longer eligible to win additional prizes.
7) Costs Associated with Claiming Prizes
Any costs associated with claiming a prize, such as travel expenses or taxes, are the responsibility of the winner.
8) Dispute Resolution
In the event of any disputes concerning the conduct of the gaming activity or claiming a prize, the decision of the promoter is final. Disputes can be addressed in writing to partnerships@australian.museum within 14 days of the draw.
9) Marketing Consent
If you wish to receive marketing communications and special offers from the Australian Museum, you can provide consent when you enter this promotion. By providing consent, you consent to receive email communications from the Australian Museum. You can opt-out of email communications at any time by following the unsubscribe link in the communications. Your personal information will be handled in accordance with the Australian Museum’s privacy statement which can be viewed at www.australian.museum/privacy.
10) Publication Consent
By accepting a prize, winners consent to the Australian Museum publishing their name and image in any media for promotional purposes without additional compensation.
11) Prize Claim Period
Winners must claim their prizes within 7 days from the date of notification. If a prize is not claimed within this period, the promoter reserves the right to redraw the prize.
12) Redetermination of Prize Winners
If a prize winner is deemed ineligible or fails to claim their prize within the specified period, a redetermination of the prize winner will occur. The new winner will be notified in the same manner as the original draw.
13) Disclaimer of liability
The Australian Museum is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered or incurred by any participant in connection with the promotion or the prize, including but not limited to:
(i) any technical difficulties or equipment malfunction (whether or not under the promoter's control).
(ii) any entry or prize claim that is late, lost, altered, damaged, or misdirected due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the promoter.
(iii) any tax liability incurred by a winner or participant.
