Ages: Students in Years 7 - 10

As part of Climate Action Week Sydney 2025, the Australian Museum is hosting a full-day workshop facilitated by experts to support schools in creating student-led initiatives for climate action.

Gather a team of students keen to create change and kick-start your school's climate action plan.

Your students will:

  • Hear from climate experts about realistic steps we can take to build climate resilience.
  • Be inspired by real life examples of local climate action.
  • Engage in practical, hands-on workshops for school sustainability initiatives.
  • Receive guidance from Museum educators on how to develop a structured, school community-wide plan for effective climate action.
  • Leave with a blueprint of your school's climate action plan!

Schools may nominate a maximum of eight (8) students (Years 7 - 10 in 2025) and one teacher to attend.

Spaces are limited, register now to secure your spot!

Student Climate Leadership Forum takes place on Thursday, 13 March 2025 at the Australian Museum, with your students working together to develop a structured, realistic climate action plan for your school to implement. Your students can continue to develop their plans back at school with their accompanying teacher and start implementing their ideas throughout the school year.

This program is brought to you by the Sydney Science Trail and the Australian Museum's Climate Solutions Centre, with the support of Climate Action Week Sydney.
