About the Future Now exhibition

Every day, we are creating our future. Although our environment and climate are facing challenges, there are many ways Australians are taking action to create a more healthy, safe, fair and affordable way forward.

Explore the benefits of sustainable living in this new exhibition jam-packed with exciting ideas for what we can do now to create a more liveable future.

Take a look into a hopeful future with three dioramas featuring scale models and audio-visual content that bring sustainable landscapes to life and highlight innovative solutions for tackling the impacts of climate change. Featuring everything from community gardens to flying taxis, each pod explores how solutions can be applied to your home life or community.

Whether you’re looking for small changes to make in your own home or want to be inspired by larger-than-life solutions, the Australian Museum will show you that there is plenty of hope and potential for tackling climate change in our communities. Leave this exhibition with a toolkit full of practical ideas to take home to help lower costs, protect biodiversity, and reduce the severity of climate change.
