
Eleanor Megna
Eleanor is a Sydney-based museum professional with a dedicated focus on collection registration and research. She comes to the Australian Museum with a broad range of experience in the museums and galleries sector, including as an Assistant Registrar, Collections Officer, and Digital Asset Officer at the Powerhouse Museum where she worked on the Collection Relocation and Digitisation Project. Eleanor worked as a Collections Officer at the University of Sydney Museums (now the Chau Chak Wing Museum), where she digitised the First Nations Ramingining art collection, and submitted research and catalogued material for the acquisition of Italian Concrete Poetry works for the University Art Collection. With Hurstville Regional Gallery and Museum, Eleanor worked as a Research Assistant to support access to the collection for tertiary students. She also worked as a Gallery Assistant and Manager of MAY SPACE commercial gallery in Sydney for several years, exhibiting, collaborating and forming connections with Australian contemporary artists.
Eleanor is a Project Officer with the Cultural Collections Enhancement Project at the Australian Museum, where she facilitates the improvement of and access to the Aboriginal Archaeology collection for First Nations communities.

- Master of Art Curating (MA.A.C.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.), in History, and Art History & Theory.
