Dr Craig Barker, an archaeologist and museum expert, holds a PhD in Mediterranean archaeology. He serves as the Director of the University of Sydney’s Paphos Theatre Archaeological Project, excavating the World Heritage listed site of Nea Paphos in Cyprus. Additionally, Dr. Barker holds the position of Head of Public Engagement at the Chau Chak Wing Museum.
His archaeological expertise spans Greece, Cyprus, Turkey, and Australia, and he is the host of the Object Matters podcast. He is also a prolific author, with numerous publications on topics such as Cypriot archaeology, ancient theatre, amphorae and the historical wine trade, public archaeology, museum education, and the history of archaeology.
