The best way to withstand them is by being equipped with the right information to avoid them, to assess the risk they present, and to develop an appreciation for them. Inside a tall glass showcase, a mannequin stands upright on a rectangular white platform. The mannequin is dressed in clothing intended to create a physical barrier between skin and blood-feeding animals. A light beige hooded hat with a wide brim sits on the head of the mannequin.
