Winner

Our Island Ark
Lewis Burnett, Western Australia

Our Island Ark attempts to capture the awe-inspiring biodiversity that we are lucky enough to have in Australia. From the tiny nectar-drinking marsupials to the egg-laying, duck-billed monotremes and everything in between, we are truly blessed to still have pockets of remaining wilderness where these animals can thrive.

Judges' Comments

This is a celebration of the diversity and uniqueness of Australia’s wildlife. Each image is exceptional and epitomises the faunal element of Nature Photographer of the Year. This portfolio must represent a huge investment of time, demonstrating this photographer’s dedication to their craft.
