I got a print now in an exhibition and I done it in 2014 and I called it 'No More Catfish' and you’ll see freshwater snails down the bottom and mussels down the bottom and a lot of reed.
We used the snail and that to catch the catfish but then catfish is out of the water and up the top is black. So the point is there, this was in my childhood the fish was in there and when they started mucking with the river, the catfish went and the mussels went. If we don’t protect - black, nothing, we’re finished.
And I try and put it across because I find by sitting there and carving, it relaxes me and it makes me think about the old people who learnt me, my old grandmother and some of my old uncles and that. That way I think about them, and I can think what I'm going to say over here, but they bring the old people back to me.
