Malcolm Moir

Malcolm Moir is an Executive Leader with a background in Philanthropy, Sponsorship, Grant Writing, Strategy, Government Relations and Business Development. At the Australian Museum, he is Manager Development and Strategy – working to secure philanthropic income for the Australian Museum.

Malcolm has well-established networks across all sectors of business, philanthropic and government sectors, and has developed long standing programs across several major organisations from Opera Australia to the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney Festival, the Australian Museum, Australian Chamber Orchestra and the Australian National Maritime Museum. His agile, creative, and strategic style has been one of his key attributes as is his leadership of his staff.

He holds Master’s degrees from the University of Technology, Sydney and University of Sydney in both Management and Public Policy, he has lectured and tutored at UTS in Sponsorship and has cowritten a textbook on Sponsorship used throughout the world. He also sits on numerous boards and advisory panels outside the Museum.
