Irene Rubino
I am a museum professional with a background in cultural heritage and public archaeology.
My current affiliation is with Palazzo Madama - Museo Civico d'Arte Antica in Torino (Italy), where I do applied research on audience advocacy and work in the social media team. Former professional opportunities have taken me to the Smithsonian Center for Education and Museum Studies (Washington DC, 2010) and here at the Australian Museum (2011).
I graduated in 2007 in Cultural Heritage Studies (Torino University) and I hold an MA in Public Archaeology from UCL, University College London (2008).
My current projects concern the role of new technologies and social media in museums, particularly with regards to community learning and engagement.
