These school holidays, learn from Peruvian metalsmith masters in this hands on creative kids workshop at the Australian Museum. Discover the art of metal embossing and have fun making gold and silver wearable art bound to impress.
Exclusive to this workshop, take a guided walk through the Gold Gallery, featured in the current exhibition Machu Picchu and the Golden Empires of Peru, to be inspired by ancient Peruvian golden artefacts and intricate metalwork designs. Then head back to the workshop where you will craft your very own statement piece using embossing techniques on thin metal sheets. Add the final touches with metallic materials and recycled supplies, and it will be yours to take home and wear for the rest of the holidays.
Secure your spot in this hands-on workshop and become a Metal Master!
