Witness the history and diversity of the world’s oldest living cultures in our First Nations Gallery Garrigarrang (Sea Country). Or get up close with Dinosaurs and Australian animals, learn about 100 Treasures of the Australian Museum with stories of 100 of Australia's most influential people in the 200 Treasures of the Australian Museum exhibition, and be dazzled by over 1800 spectacular rocks and minerals in our newest permanent exhibition Minerals.

The Mighty Bullfrog will be gracing the main stage in Hintze Hall playing Real Funk, Blues, Groove, Afro and Soul. Mixing their own originals music with cover songs from funk classics such as; James Brown, Sly & Family Stone, Tina Turner, and The Meters. The Mighty Bullfrog have come together from diverse backgrounds, multiple bands and decades playing the Sydney music scene. A pure synthesis of all the important elements that make their shows a refreshing and unique experience for audiences. The Mighty Bullfrog are Jade Da Silva on vocals, James Eriksson on drums/vocals, Tristan Fitzgerald on guitar/vocals, Tim Lumsdaine on bass guitar, Dan Parise on keys/vocals, and Gerard Perrignon on sax/vocals.
Presented in partnership with Sydney Film Festival and the Australian Broadcast Corporation, Your Planet: Climate & Environment Short Documentaries will be on show in the Theatre across the night. From wildlife defenders to waste warriors, from valleys to reefs, to powerful stories from First Nations filmmakers, these short documentaries will transport you across Australia and showcase people and communities creating solutions to some of the greatest challenges facing our environment.
Museum Through My Eyes is an opportunity to experience, see, and hear the Museum in ways you never imagined.
Join a local artist as they lead you on a 20-minute guided tour of the Museum’s collections and galleries. Artists are given 4 hours to create their tour during the day, with the design and scope entirely up to their artistic vision. Whether it is through storytelling, song, dance, or other forms of creative expression, each tour will be a unique and fascinating insight into how a local artist responds to the Museum. The artist for this week’s Museum Through My Eyes tour will be announced soon.
