Last week I was lucky enough to stumble upon some conservators restoring a very special heritage item in the Museum.

Working at the Museum presents all kinds of interesting conversations and revelations, and last week was no different.

For the past few weeks a small project team have been working away restoring a very unique heritage item, one of the Museum's oldest display cases with some wonderfully precious specimens inside. More about this project can be found on the Rare and Curious blog.

On my visit to see the progress on the case I was fortunate enough to stumble upon two of the Museum conservators working inside the case on the spectacular "croc specimen". We discussed a number of things, in particular their work and role at the Museum.
